“Not all people are made for families and children, I was not made for it,” admits Makis Delaportas.
Makis Delaportas gave a comprehensive interview to the On Time Weekend newspaper and journalist Sissy Menegatou. Among other things, the popular artist spoke from the heart about the pieces of personal life that the professional life deprived him of, as well as the fact that he did not proceed to create his own family.
Do you think that the path you followed deprived you of pieces of your personal life?
Of course. I have sacrificed a large part of my personal life and my artistic concerns, which was the theater, because I started as a child of the theater, as a young actor, and from my first steps I had excelled, but all the things that came into my life and led me there deprived me of many things. Everything has its price. However, I have no complaints about my personal life. I have experienced great loves and passions, but these do not need to be made public. I do not think that the public would want to enter the keyhole and see how my personal life is.
The fact that you did not have a family, your own child, is something you never thought about?
Yes. I never thought about it. I never missed it. Not all people are made for families and children. I was not made for such a thing, however, I never missed it. Moreover, I have nephews that I adore, a beloved goddaughter, who is like my child, my dogs. I have not missed anything in my life in relation to this.
